From the 27 glaciers that feed the cold, clear waters down through the valleys, to the rich fertile soils of the Chelan and Manson orchards, 55-mile long Lake Chelan serves as the link between the two contrasting regions.
Nearly 1500' deep, Lake Chelan is the third deepest lake in the United States, behind Lake Tahoe and Crater Lake. The bottom of the glacier-carved lake basin lies 400' below sea level. Primarily thought of for its endless recreational opportunities, the lower end of the lake has earned global recognition in the agricultural market for its apples and other varieties of fruit. From the 9000' glacier-covered peaks, to the rolling hills of the towns of Chelan and Manson, there seems to be something for everyone.
Mike & JoAnn spent many years vacationing at Lake Chelan with their friends and family. In 1999, the "Lake Cabin" as it is affectionately referred to, was purchased. Located on the North Shore of Lake Chelan, near the Lake Chelan yacht club, the "Lake Cabin" provides a haven for the Walkers and their friends and family from the hectic pace of life.
